Welcome to the Bulletin of Remarkable Trees
Want to know more about trees, The Morton Arboretum's history, and midcentury gardening + landscape design? Me too!
Bulletin of Remarkable Trees follows my journey researching my grandfather: a landscape architect, arboriculturalist, and curator of collections at the Morton Arboretum in Illinois from the late 1920s through the mid-1960s.
My background is in psychology and healthcare, but after finding boxes and boxes of journals, correspondence, paperwork, photos, and more related to my grandfather and his work, I had a million questions. Come along with me, admittedly not a plant/tree expert, as I explore trees (and other woody plants) and learn about my grandfather’s captivation with them.
